GENERAL  RULES (19.3.07)  

 

1.        The Club shall be called  ‘Lewes Camera Club’.

2.       The Club Committee shall consist of four officers:  Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.  There shall be up to six other committee members.

3.       The Committee must be elected or re-elected each year at an Annual General Meeting.

4.       There shall be three categories of membership:  Honorary Life, Ordinary and Junior.  Junior members must be under sixteen or undergoing full-time education.

5.       The Club financial year and membership runs from 1st April to 31st March.  Subscriptions shall be fixed annually and paid that year.

6.       The Club shall be insured against public liability.

7.       An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called at the request of at least a third of the membership.  Two weeks notice must be given and the exact business must be stated.

8.       The Committee have the power to decide on any matter on which the rules are silent.

 

COMPETITION  RULES (15.3.09)

1.        The Competition Year or Season shall run from 1 April to 31 March.

2.       There shall be an Annual Competition of the current Club year’s work judged at the end of the Season.  Entries shall number up to five images made up of prints or  slides or a combination of the two.

3.       There shall be a Natural History Competition each Season.   Entries shall number up to three prints and/or slides.  Work to be no more than five years old.    Wildlife subjects must be of animals, birds, flowers or plants, which are wild.  No domesticated animals or birds, cultivated flowers or plants are eligible.  “Escapees” are also ineligible, however wild they may be!

4.       There shall be a League Table Competition for prints and slides based on the six highest marks achieved by each member in any Season.  In the event of a tie the seventh highest mark shall decide the result.  Work to be no more than five years old.

5.       Members may submit up to two prints or four slides in any League Competition.

6.       Any one entry may be submitted for only one League and Annual competition but may be resubmitted for any other competition.

7.       All entries must be submitted by 7.30pm on the night of the competition.

8.       All marks shall be out of twenty per entry.   Authors shall mark their own work zero when Club judging.
