Chichester Camera Club Annual Exhibition

The Annual Camera Club Exhibition in the Assembly Rooms ? North Street in the centre of Chichester
is this year taking place between the 15th and 22nd August.
Opening times will be 10.00am - 5.00pm (closed on Sunday). Everyone is invited
to browse the 260 prints
and 79 slides that will be on display for the week.
As usual all club members have the opportunity to exhibit a few of their prints
and slides. These will be judged, prior
to the exhibition, by Trevor Gellard FRPS. The official opening of the exhibition (for club members only), which will include the presentation of the awards, will take place on Friday 14th August at 7.30pm.

the Age Concern building, Vicarage Fields car park in Hailsham (next to Waitrose).

New BHCC Photography Exhibition at the Old Market
The next BHCC photography
exhibition opens Thursday July 30th and runs until October 30th at The Old
Market in Hove and features images by club members Maggi Tillotson, Annie
Wells-Thorpe, James Arthur, Fan Arthur and Nigel French.

It is usually possible to purchase prints shown in our exhibitions, and details
are available at the Box Office.

The Old Market venue situated on Upper Market Street – just off Western Road, on
the border of Brighton and Hove and a stone's throw from the Seafront.

Bognor Regis Camera Club Summer
Exhibition 2009

Highlight of the club's closed-season calendar. The annual showcase of work
produced by members in the form of Prints and Digital Images. This is an
opportunity for the general public to come along and see what we do and perhaps
join up! This year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever with more
club members showing examples of their work and with the introduction of a
larger exhibition space. Greetings cards produced by various club members will
be on sale and there is a generous 10% membership discount for any NEW members
joining at the exhibition. Club members will be on hand to answer questions
about the club or photography in general. Further details will be announced

Battle Camera Club Annual Exhibition
On August 29th, for the third year running, BCC is to hold its popular annual exhibition at Battle Memorial Hall. Please do all come along
and bring your friends and family, as usual refreshments will be served in the hall.

Thursday 17 September 2009, 7.30pm at Surrey History Centre
An evening talk by Colin Gale and Caroline Smith of Bethlem Royal Hospital
Archives and Museum focusing on the extraordinary photographs taken by Henry
Hering in the late 1850s of patients at Bethlem Royal Hospital in Southwark. The
evening will explore the use to which photography was put in the development of
Victorian mental health treatment at hospitals such as Bethlem (as well as
Springfield in Surrey) and attempt to place asylum photography in the context of
mainstream photographic portraiture.
